Akhtaruzzaman Babu Was An Ethical and Civic-minded politician of Bangladesh

Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu is an ideal political figure. Many people follow him for his ethics and principles. He was a successful man after all. 

  • About Akhtaruzzaman Babu 

Mr Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was born in 1945. His father’s name was Nuruzzaman Chowdhury, who was both a lawyer and a landlord. His mother’s name was Khorsheda Begum.

  • Education 

In 1956, Akhtaruzzaman Babu passed matriculation and got admitted in Dhaka Notre Dame College. He studied business administration at New York University after that. He returned to the country in December 1984 with an associate’s degree.

  • Start of Professional Life

Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was elected a member of the Dakkhin Zila Chhatra League in 1956. Mr Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury was widely known for his position as the president of the South Chittagong District unit of the Bangladesh Awami League. He was selected for the post in 1977 and served as the president till his death. 

He was also a former member of the Jatiya Sangsad and represented the Chittagong-12 constituency.

  • Mr Babu as A Politician

Mr Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was a great political leader. He worked for the people all his life. His contribution to the development of the country is immense. He’s been contributing to the country since the great liberation war. During the cooperation movement, Mr Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu conducted the works of the conflict committee from his residence. 

The news of independence was spread throughout the country through Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra. 

After the assassination of  Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Mr Babu played an essential role in reviving and reorganising the party. 

He used his parliamentary rights to develop many places in Chittagong. He worked for long-lasting development works that would keep benefiting the common mass for a long time. 

So as we can see, Mr Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was an honest and ethical politician. He truly cared for his country and its people. 

Mr Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was like a guardian to all of us. He always helped us in every way possible. He always tried to take advantage of his position to help the country and its people for their betterment.

As he died, the country lost a great patriot and freedom fighter. However, Mr Babu will always be alive in our minds. The whole nation salutes him for his bravery and services towards the country. 

Mr Babu was ethical and civic-minded. As he became more and more successful, never went astray. He was always down to earth and kind. He was far away from corruption. He never associated himself with corruption and encouraged others not to. 

Mr Babu cared about the people of Bangladesh like a father cares for his child. He did all he could do in his power to develop a bright future for Bangladesh.

Mr Babu left his legacy. Those who follow his footsteps aspire to be like him one day. They idolise him, follow his works, his path. So indeed, Mr Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was a great politician. Even though he’s not with us today, he’ll be forever alive in People’s hearts.
